Book your ride

For real convenience, download the MyWay by Metro Timaru app. It’s easy to use and puts booking your ride at your fingertips.

If you’d rather talk to a human, we’re here! Our customer service team can make bookings for you with one quick phone call. The first time you call, we’ll set up your account so it’s even speedier next time.

Some people don’t have a mobile phone to book a ride. That’s OK! If you’re out and about, we have many Booking on Behalf service locations (PDF file, 28 KB) who are all more than happy to book your ride.

Fare payments

Paying for your trip is pre-arranged, as our vehicles don’t take cash. When you book, you can select to pay with Metrocard or by loading a debit or credit card to your account.

To make sure every bus trip is a good one, we ask you to check out our guide to bus etiquette for public transport in Timaru.

Every trip makes a difference

Thinking about how you travel is one of the simplest changes you can make. Saying “no thanks” to a few of those car trips, and “yes please” to public transport, walking, cycling and carpooling, goes a long way towards reducing your emissions footprint and makes a real difference to our environment.

We also take our duty to provide an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible service very seriously. With every step forward, we’re making service improvements for better bussing. Find out what sustainable public transport means to us and what we’re doing in this space.
